In today’s uncertain economy many people are living in fear about their futures and finances. The Bible says in Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Ecclesiastes 5:10 Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless. So you see the more we make the more we never have enough. It’s a vicious cycle of wanting more and more and before you know it your focus is off the Lord and His Kingdom and your focusing on Man’s Economy which no matter how well you do you arrive at a certain dead end.
I lived in West Palm Beach, Florida for 32 years. Across the intra-coastal waterway was Palm Beach one of the richest barrier isle lands on the planet. I remember frequently hearing on the news that some Gazillionare Millionare had blown their brains out. I remember thinking why would someone who lives in a mansion and has 8 Lamborghini’s in their driveways kill themselves? But after learning about the dead end of Man’s Economy it’s not hard to understand that anything apart from God is dead.
Why do we continue to pursue riches in Man’s Economy when all that we obtain will turn to dust? Why not focus our attention on God’s Economy and building that which will last for eternity and help further His Kingdom. The Bible says in Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Friends, please allow me to challenge you to transform your everyday thinking from a futile focus on Man’s Economy and to re-focus your hearts and minds to long for those things of God and His everlasting and eternal Kingdom. We as Christians can’t just sit on the sidelines anymore and watch as Man’s Economy continues to crumble and more and more people get sucked in and lured down a path of ruin
and destruction. Let’s rally the troops and sound the trumpet of God’s perfect Economy and do what we can at this very moment to help win others over for them to see how living in God’s Economy is the one and only way to True Financial Freedom!
